Both Google and Facebook are rumoured to be in early talks with Skype over a joint venture or takeover deal. Reports suggest that the deals could be worth as much as $4bn and will allow the communications company to greatly expand its premium services. More and more frequently these two online giants are rivalling one another; hopefully this competition will produce positive results for consumers as both companies seek to out-perform one another.
